Day 12: Starting the Northern Trip

I left the trench early with a terrible headache – but I felt better after lunch. We left at 2:00 PM for the Northern Trip. The first spot we stopped was (missing information), then on to the youth hostel above the Sea of Galilee. An absolutely beautiful spot up a mountain across from the Golan Heights. Many people went into Tiberias, but Jason, Joni, Nathan and I stayed looking at the stars and talking. We got to bed at 9:30PM.  {2011 note-- Too short an journal entry!  One of the interesting things we saw was a military helicoptor that kept dropping a bag into the sea, and then flying off, and then returning to get more water. We guessed that it was doing some firefighting, but we couldn't tell where it was heading}
